The Shanghai Soong Ching Ling Foundation held a New Year’s Thank-You Party at the Playhouse of the CWI Children’s Palace on January 9, 2012. A review of the Foundation’s project implementations and fund-raising activities was followed by stage performances with the theme “We Bask in Warm Sunlight”. Performers included the children of migrant workers, SSCLF-BEA Firefly project volunteers, and members of the Children’s Art Theater. The program showed how the children of migrant workers were helped in receiving an education and the work of the Firefly and Bellflower volunteers. The more than 200 guests at the party included 50 members of SSCLF’s Board of Directors.
