From March 8 to 13, 2012, Cheng Weiwei and Shi Yingying, two gynecologists/ obstetricians from Shanghai’s International Peace Maternity and Child Health Hospital conducted a 5-day training program for the local medical personnel of Ninglang County in China’s far southwestern province of Yunnan. The training focused on the general health care and emergency care for expectant mothers and newborn babies. The forms of training included lectures and case analysis, as well as identification and treatment of related common complications.

The two doctors also inspected the medical facilities and instruments and their uses in the local MCH hospital to provide SSCLF with information on further equipment needed by the hospital.
