The top 50 foundations were selected and decided from multi-angle contents that foundation revealed, such as basic information, fund-raising information, project implementation information, financial information and daily news, and revealing channels and frequency. The rankings not only focus on foundations contents but also on the official website, Weibo and their self-owned media platforms and update frequency.
Transparency is an essential indicator for public welfare foundation’s access to public support and understanding. The ranking list aims to reveal the transparent status quo of the Chinese public welfare foundations, provide a path for public welfare foundations to be transparent, while providing reference for the public to donate.
