On the afternoon of August 27, 2019, SSCLF’s project exchange and sharing forum for the first half of 2019 on “Design and Evaluation of Public Welfare Projects”, sponsored by Shanghai Soong Ching Ling Foundation, was held in No.1 Sport Center on the bank of the Huangpu River in Shanghai.
SSCLF invited Mr. Liu Tao, partner and vice president of SynTao, and Ms. Wang Caixia, director of Philanthropy and NGO Support Center, to give keynote speeches. About 60 guests from SSCLF’s Public Welfare Funds and Project Partners had a joyous gathering.
Nowadays, public welfare has become a new lifestyle. With the whole society’s increasing concern and participation in public welfare, people's understanding of public welfare is also changing gradually. Simply comparing “the size of fund-raising, the amount of expenditure on public welfare projects, and the number of projects” is no longer the standard to measure whether a foundation is successful or not. How to continuously explore new public welfare needs, find good breakthrough points, and effectively solve social problems with the help of a third force? How to make better use of public welfare funds to drive more resource inputs, and create a healthier public welfare ecosystem? How to react timely and adjust properly when facing the changes in the external environment? All of these will become the problems for the public welfare organizations with vigor and professionalism.
At the forum, Mr. Liu Tao’s speech "How to Plan and Design a Social Value Co-Creation Project" aroused the resonance of the guests while Ms. Wang Caixia made an in-depth analysis of the topic "How to Evaluate a Project Properly" based on real cases. After the lectures, all the participants actively raised their hands to make face-to-face communication with the two experts on how to further enhance the external influence, uniqueness and sustainability of public welfare projects.
