From October 21 to 26, Shanghai Soong Ching Ling Foundation led voluntary painters to Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region to inspect the project sites in Guilin. The painters who took part in the inspection included Hong Niuyi, Zhang Anpu, Zhou Jiahua, Chen Weizhong, Xi Sailian and Liang Gang, accompanied by Zhang Fan, a Shanghai-based reporter from Hong Kong Ta Kung Pao.
This is the second public welfare project site inspection after the one of Anhui Farmer Entrepreneurship Relay Baton this April. In addition to the traditional SSCLF’s project sites of “Charitable Book Stacks” and “Safety for Mothers and Infants”, their inspected project site also included the new one set up last year—“Sunshine Warming Children”.
At each project site, the painters listened carefully to the project leader’s introduction to the implementation of the project and their maintenance work. The painters showcased their professional ability and gave painting lessons to the children of all schools in the project sites. In class, the children were also invited to the blackboard to work together with the painters and draw the places where they lived.
