“Smoothing the Path for Going Back to School Project” helps Wuhan campus epidemic prevention

The public welfare project of “Smoothing the Path for Going Back to School”, initiated by Shanghai Soong Ching Ling Foundation, has recently delivered all the anti-epidemic materials provided for Wuhan education system to relevant schools. The forehead thermometers, disinfectant and hand sanitizer worth more than 1 million yuan will be distributed to 896 senior three classes (including Xinjiang class and Tibet class) of 84 high schools in Wuhan to ensure the health care resources for teachers and students, who are scheduled to return to school on May 6. Zhang Tianlei, deputy secretary general of the SSCLF-Sunshine Children’s Legal Rights Safeguard Fund, leaders of Wuhan Bureau of Education and Wuchang District Bureau of Education, and relevant school principals attended the donation ceremony on the morning of April 28. The relevant news was reported by Wuhan Education Television Station.

 

With the gradual improvement of the COVID-19 situation, and the orderly promotion of the preparatory work for returning to school, SSCLF began to plan the public welfare project of “Smoothing the Path for Going Back to School” in the middle of March, aiming to provide some help for the students in the epidemic area to return to school and have classes. People and enterprises from all walks of life have responded warmly to the project. The anti-epidemic materials donated to Wuhan education system were purchased by charity organizations, including Shanghai Haohe Art Museum Co., Ltd., through the art anti-epidemic activities of “Stand Together”.
