In order to enable more children to receive extracurricular education, the Shanghai Children’s Palace has sent its staff members to rural schools in the suburbs of Shanghai, as well as various communities and residential districts to promote popular science education, pass on simple technical know-how and organize demonstrative shows on science. The project has played a positive role in promoting the students' awareness of the importance of science and technology.
