The 20 project households mainly worked on raising chicks this quarter, with 20,000 six-month-old Luhua chickens weighing up to 1.5 kg and entering egg production in April. The cooperative also organized training sessions for the project households on farming techniques.

The main work of the 10 project households in Phase 2 was fertilization. At the beginning of March, the cooperative organized a two-day training activity for project households on Uncaria Rhynchophylla planting and post-management techniques.

This quarter, the main work of the 20 project households is to fertilize and take care of the planted Polygonatum.

In this quarter, the growth condition of vegetables and other crops was affected by the cold weather and other environmental factors, but the market demand was still strong and the vegetables grown by the project households sold well with the help of the cooperative. Project households carried out a mutual discussion on the growth of agricultural products to meet the cold weather on January 22; also a summary meeting on agricultural products sales was held on February 10.

The main work of the 10 project households this quarter was water spraying, moisturizing, mushroom harvesting, among others. Mushrooms were harvested twice, with the production reached 60% of the total and sales entering the peak season. Each household’s sales reached over 35,000 RMB.

The main task for the 10 project households this quarter is to wait for the spring planting and purchase seeds, pesticides and fertilizers.

On March 2, the cooperative organized training for project households on how to select and breed high-quality rice seeds, how to germinate rice seeds effectively and choose the right time for sowing.

On March 12, Zhang Qi’an and Yu Feifei, researchers of the Provincial Academy of Agricultural Sciences, went to the base to train 10 project households on the cultivation techniques of water bamboo .

This quarter, project households mainly worked on the selling of winter crops, including cauliflower and green asparagus, and the planting of summer crops, including soy bean and sweet corn, with the price of main varieties of cauliflower reaching 2.4-6.4 yuan / kg.
